There are limitations on number of pages, but in those cases, a book may be a better application.

Everyone likes to be spoken to personally, not be an anonymous recipient of information that is blasted at the masses. It allows for low cost, custom print runs that are of excellent quality at a fraction of the price, more often as not even more cost effective as desktop publishing. All this can be done in a fraction of the time it took line presses because of the digital input.
A user can send a done book for printing and have exactly what they envisioned without the press operator changing the author’s work. There is also the option obtainable to have a designer assist the author by formatting their work, and even adding graphics, with the copyright issues addressed by the print house, and not the individual author. All of this can be proof read electronically, taking the method down to hours in lieu of days.
